This is a Full-time position in Philadelphia, PA posted April 15, 2019.

Heffler administers class action settlements in consumer, securities, antitrust, employment and other class action matters. As part of our procedures in administering a class action settlement, we are responsible for mailing notices to potential class members, receiving and reviewing claims filed by individuals, businesses and other entities, calculating losses and auditing claims to determine the extent of the damages incurred. We also process settlement checks under the court’s direction.

Client Service Managers are primarily responsible for maintaining client relationships within their area of expertise for the clients assigned to them. A Client Service Manager is expected to:Determine adequate staffing requirements to cover all assigned work across multiple cases.Prioritize work, evaluate tasks, and resolve conflicts.Delegate and direct work assigned to staff across multiple cases.Supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff.Understand the firm’s system of internal controls.Review all work prior to submission for final review.Seek ways to perform cases in an efficient manner.Plan cases to achieve quality goals and reduce the time required to complete a case.Possess enough technical knowledge to supervise staff and complete a case in a timely manner (meet pre-determined case time budgets and all required due dates).Possess enough technical knowledge to draft case affidavits.Serve as a liaison between Partners, clients, and staff.Seek opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients, and cultivate contacts to develop potential new cases and clients.Develop relationships with potential new clients and demonstrate the ability to attract new clients to the firm.Develop the confidence of the Partners regarding making sound technical and business decisions.Be available and flexible to work any required additional time necessary to perform and complete any and all cases assigned to them by the due dates established by the Partners, clients, or courts.Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) required5-7 years in Claims or Class Action BusinessStrong computer skills, especially the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as a team leaderAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDetail-orientedAbility to attract new clients and develop relationships with potential new clientsBenefitsHealthcare, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong Term Disability Insurance401K Retirement Plan Participation with Employer Match and Profit SharingPre-Tax Cafeteria/Section 125 PlanProfessional DevelopmentTransportation/Section 132 PlanPayroll Direct DepositMake your contribution to our growing practice! If the above describes you, and you seek a challenging opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you.
